This short story is a part of my ever increasing interest in feminist sf. Written for a creative writing class, “Rachel the Robot Repairman” is an attempt at literary sf in the tradition of Philip K. Dick and inspired by Ursula K. Le Guin. Rachel is an autonomous mechanicals technician, a robot repairman, who is called in to solve a weird computer issue one morning.
